NMC Healthcare, one of the UAE's largest hospital networks, is offering a 50 per cent discount on prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening and related ultrasound services for men aged 40 and above throughout November. The offer is available at more than 20 NMC facilities across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. the initiative is part of a men's health awareness campaign aimed at encouraging preventive screening among older men. PSA testing is a widely used method for detecting early signs of prostate problems, including cancer, and doctors generally recommend it for middle-aged and older men, since early detection significantly improves treatment outcomes.

Alongside the screening, patients will also receive a free consultation with an NMC doctor to review their results. UAE health experts have previously warned that many men in the region skip routine screenings due to a lack of early symptoms or general reluctance, even though prostate cancer remains one of the most common cancers among older men.

The campaign reflects a broader push within the UAE's healthcare sector to promote preventive care and early diagnosis, a trend that has gathered pace in recent years alongside a rise in men's health awareness initiatives nationwide.
